The Canadian Museum for Human Rights is the first and only museum in the world solely dedicated to the evolution, celebration and future of human rights. Since opening in 2014, we have welcomed over 1.4 million visitors in-person and many more online.
While we have stunning works of art and magnificent artifacts, our collection is based on the stories of human right champions who had the courage to stand for their rights and the rights of others. Our award-winning galleries, inspiring programs and magnificent architecture take visitors of all ages on an unforgettable journey through the steps and missteps on the path to greater human rights for everyone.
Located where major rivers and historic cultures come together in Winnipeg, in the heart of Canada, the Museum is a place of hope and optimism; a place where people from all walks of life are transformed to see the world through the lens of human rights.
