We have a two brand new traveling exhibits available:
Nature All Around Us
This is a brand new 5,000 sq ft exhibit opening at the Science Museum of Minnesota in October and available in February 2023. It's filled with immersive environments and hands-on interactives and challenges the notion that urban and natural environments are separate or at odds by showing the many ways they are inextricably linked and encouraging further curiosity and learning about planning, designing and managing to nurture nature in our own communities. A wonderful topic for promoting the importance of protecting our environment and the health benefits from connecting with nature. Sign up for our first spot and receive some SMM swag!
Skin: Living Armor, Evolving Identity
This 5,000 sq ft is currently at the Science Museum of Virginia. The exhibit aims to
inspire wonder and curiosity about this uniquely complex organ, illustrate the incredibly adaptive properties of skin across all organisms, and spark dialogue and reflection about skin’s role in
shaping human culture and identity. Visitors will explore dozens of scientific specimens that showcase the incredibly adaptive properties of skin in animals—including its ability to support and regenerate keratin-based structures like armored scales, aerodynamic feathers, and insulating fur. Skin dives deeper to present the topics of racism, prejudice, and discrimination through the lenses of history and science. Available February 2023!
